How It Works?

Statue of Justice

Setting up these documents is quick and easy! Your young adult can schedule a 30-minute phone or Zoom consultation with me using the link below. During this meeting, I’ll explain the documents, and they’ll choose who they want to designate as their decision-maker. Afterward, I’ll draft the necessary forms, and your young adult can sign them in person.

Benefits of Having These Documents in Place:

  • Medical Emergencies: In the event of an accident or sudden illness you'll be able to make medical decisions on your child's behalf without unnecessary delays.

  • Financial Decisions: Without a Durable Power of Attorney, you could face legal barriers trying to access bank accounts or manage other financial matters if something were to happen to your child.

  • Avoiding Court Intervention: Without a designated decision-maker, your family could be forced to go through a lengthy, costly legal process to gain authority in the event of an emergency.

  • Planning for the Future: These documents prompt young adults to think about their values and preferences around healthcare and finances something that's often overlooked.

  • Support for Personal Goals: For young adults working toward education or career goals, these documents provide peace of mind, knowing that if something unexpected happens, the proper support is in place.
